Eligibility for a sick leave (paid and unpaid)
An employee is entitled to a sick leave of not more than 90 days per year, only after a period of six months’ continuous service following the probation period.
The 90 days sick leave can be continuous or intermittent, and the salary is paid as follows:
- full pay for the first 15 days
- any further leave is considered as unpaid leave with sick leave notes.
Description
- The eligibility is only for 15 days annually, this is workable upon successful completion of 6 months with Tafaseel Group.
- Any extended sick leave is upon eligibility and approval (for the days added to the 15 days range) from the management.
- If an employee falls sick and requires sick leave, he should notify his Line Manager within 48 hours of becoming sick, if not preventive by a forced situation, and give an estimation of how long he will be absent from work due to his sickness. Failure to do so without forced situation will lead to deducting the same days from the employee annual leave.
- The sick employee is required, upon return from Sick Leave, to fill automated Sick Leave Form, and a medical certificate to HR Department.
- Sick Leave’s also require prior approvals from TL’s and/or reporting manager based on the criticality. Any miss-use of the sick leave shall lead to disciplinary action.
- Sick Leave cannot be carried forward, to the next year.
